History/Manufacturing

History

Hazelwood (Corylus cornuta) was used medicinally by Native Americans as an emetic, for teething, to expel worms, to heal cuts, and as an astringent (D. E. Moerman 1986).

The native Americans were the first to discover that if they were to put Hazelwood Chips on their babies’ neck it would soothe teething pains. Almost forgotten Tearless Teething reintroduced this old remedial way to holistic healing in the form of their necklaces and other products to help not only the babies but to take advantage of the natural benefits of the Hazelwood, not only for the infants but the whole family.

Manafacutring

The wood is completely 100% Natural and handmade right from the gathering of the wood to the threading of the necklaces. Many families are discovering the benefits of Hazelwood, thanks to the determination, team work and passion of the manufacturers. Today, the 900 outlets worldwide are a reflection of the client's satisfaction and trust in the products.

Tearless Teething is a company that was born from the “crying“ need of parents with teething babies. Tearless Teething is now being introduced into UK, Europe and the rest of the world.

Life span of a Hazelwood necklace

The life span of your necklace will depend on the level of acidity of your body. However, in general, a necklace will maintain its benefits for 2-3 months sometimes longer. The more severe the symptoms may mean a shorter lifespan of the necklace. Two indicators that your necklace is losing effectiveness: the ends of the wood beads will darken and/or symptoms return.
